The unexpected appearance of Covid-19 in Italy and the further proliferation since last weekend have required a fresh assessment of the situation. In the effort to prevent a feared pandemic, the European ministers of health are convening in Rome today, 25 February 2020, to discuss the current situation and possible measures in response.
In view of these current developments, expanded travel restrictions and the high share of Asian exhibitors at the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR, the executive board at Koelnmesse has reassessed the current situation.
For Koelnmesse, the health of all trade fair participants is paramount. We have received numerous enquiries from within your ranks about the health and safety of your employees and customers.
The executive board at Koelnmesse, together with the industry, has decided to postpone the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR (01-04 March 2020). In keeping with industry cycles, the trade fair has been rescheduled for February 2021. We will announce the precise date in good time.
In 2021, we will once again offer you and your customers a platform that does justice to the professionalism and variety of the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR.
